“Proud Teacher Moment: Seeing Former Students Thrive”
I recently attended a wedding where I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the bride was one of my former Chemistry students from 2015. The groom, also a familiar face, was my junior in university and now a lecturer at a federal university in Bayelsa State.
As I mingled with the guests, I was overwhelmed with excitement as many of my former students rushed to greet me, fondly calling out my nickname, “Redox Reaction” or “Mr. Redox/Sir Redox.” It was heartwarming to see how they’ve grown into accomplished professionals – doctors, engineers, pharmacists, and nurses – many of whom arrived in their own cars.
This encounter reminded me of the profound impact teachers have on shaping future generations. It filled me with pride and joy, reaffirming the significance of our role as educators.
I love this so much
Nice one
